As we all know, prevention is better than the cure. The majority of dental problems don’t cause any discomfort or pain until the problem is quite large. At Fenton Dental, we are often able to diagnose problems such as tooth decay or gum disease early, which means that any intervention is less invasive and less costly.

Because of this we recommend 6-monthly general check-ups and cleans. We typically recommend that routine dental x-rays are taken every 2 years to check under old fillings and between teeth where we cannot see. We quite often take photographs to help show and explain any problems. This ensures that we diagnose problems before they result in toothaches and lets us help maintain the long-term health of the teeth and gums.
